First I will ask him to stop smoking or I will ask him to move from my place and sit some where else, if he still dont listen to me I will get out of that carriage.

lol, you know that man is a strong and young guy, he looks a bulley or a hooligan, i'm afraid if i ask him to leave out of my sight, he may get a dagger from somewhere and stab it into my belly...so i keep it silent but my wife did a good job she asked train police officer to force him to stop the smoking thing, you know, it's not illegal to smoke in the passager carriage.

The man might turn nasty and say that he can do what he likes. In my home country a lady asked two youths not to smoke so they pushed her on the train track. She was badly injured and just got up before the train came. She was taken to a hospital. I would consider if it was worth asking a man to stop smoking. If he looked a decent person I would say "please spot smoking in front of my baby son because passive smoking harms his health".

I don't sit near a smoker. Anyways if a situation occurs, I always do a coughing act. Most of the time it works. And if it does not, I then do the most obvious thing swaying of my hand.

i would not say a word to him. i would probably just light up w/him. i don't want to offend anyone w/my smoking but get tired of people acting like they do about smoking. eight out of ten people who act the worst are former smokers themselves.

I hate the smell of smoke. Therefore I hate it when people smoking in public. I would probably cover my nose and show the smoker how terrible the smell was. I wouldn't say anything at first. If he didn't get my hint, I would open the window and let the fresh air in. It would be lovely if it was a freezing cold wind. Ha! Most of the time I would imagine pouring icy cold water on top of his head to put out the fire. :P

If smoking in the carriage is allowed, then I would politley ask him to stop smoking. If he did not, I would excuse myself and find another place to sit. Why would you want to suffer because of his ego.

i would hate to be sitting beside a man who smokes like a pot. i guess i will not say anything, just transfer seet or whatever. i can't be sitting next to a smoker for a long time because i would have difficulty breathing. this has been a bugger as i have problems with my lungs, perhaps...
