Do you earn money from your google blogs ?

Google provide free blogger blogs and allow us to sign up free for adsense. We make blogs and write the content and post them. Do you really earning from the blogs?
Please give me some idea to earn more from blogger blogs. I have some blogs and want to improve the earnings. Please help,

Although I am not earning anything, I plan to try in the future and I actually state my intention, and how I am going to do so, on my blog. The truth is that I haven't even tried because of lack of time. Upon retirement I plan to attempt to earn a little on the side using the talent I have for poetry.
