after a year we travel to india, to our home for about 1 1/2 month last time was our first visit n our first visit was so disappointing to us as we went there from the second day we all were ill n suffered for about a week n then we were allright again for a few days we could rome here n there to my parents place, my husbands place, we visited to our relatives to meet them for a few days everything was fine, we like hogging outside which we did n then again we were ill n also in my sons case it was so severe that i need to hospitalize him for about 4 days, i was really frustated n exhausted i usually think sometimes that when we r in germany we dont fall sick as regular in india, i think that its really important to be careful when u visit india n take precautions about the water u drink there now again after a few months again we r going to visit india n i hope it does not happen like our first visit

I am sorry to hear that you and your family were ill whilst in India. I have heard that it is a beautiful and interesting country. However it has many diseases that come from water and insects. It is awful that your son was so very ill that he had to stay in hospital for 4 days. I hope that your family had good travel insurance that paid for the days hospital. In countries with an unsafe water supply and mosquitoes that carry malaria it is wise to be careful with eating, drinking and trying not to get bitten. The worst time I had with my health was after a trip to Sumatra in Indonesia. I ate a salad and then had severe sickness. For the next month I had this and a high fever. It left me quite weak and then a few weeks later I fell down a drain in Malaysia. I really hurt my leg and came home on crutches. I have been to two malarial areas and found that anti malarial pills have terrible side affects on me. The first time I had eye sight problems and the second time I had mouth ulcers going down into my throat. I stopped taking the pills but in Kenya in particular I had to guard against getting bitten. Good luck on future trips.

when ever you go to India try to do yoga . I guarantee that you will not get sick and also avoid eating oily foods. You can drink mineral water there . It is healthy and pollution free.
