After the recent MLB trades, which team will win the World Series?

I think that the Angels are the team to beat. They were 11 games up and still traded for a huge bat like Texiera. The Dodgers will make the postseason now by stealing ManRam from the Red Sox. The Yankees have quietly improved with Marte, Nady, and Pudge. The White Sox got Jr, but to play centerfield. Unfortunately, that may hurt them rather than help. The American league outfields are spacious. The Cubs got Harden and the Brewers got Sabathia. We'll see what happens. My vote goes the the Angels over the Cubs in the World Series.

I think the teams from the American League East are the best put together ball clubs. There are three contending teams, Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees.... the reason they don't have the stellar records the Angels do is because they are just beating up on each other. The Angels are a great team, but they don't have any competition in their division. I'm going to have to go with Tampa Bay to win it, I love the underdog!

You go girl...what better than a woman that knows her sports
That is a good point and I will have to agree. The East is the best divison and very well might produce the World Series champ. The Angels have no competition.
I'd be okay with the Rays winning it all. That would be a cool story.

I have to agree with you that the Angels are by far the best team in the MLB. I would say the Diamondbacks are the best team in the National League, mostly because I hate the Cubs, but also because they have the best starting pitching rotation in the major league. I have the Angels over the Diamondbacks in 5 games in the World Series. I like the Angels to win it all because they got a power bat in Teixiera at the deadline, and their pitching is absolutely dominant, all the way from John Lackey, Ervin Santana, and Jered Weaver to the outstanding bullpen led by Fransisco Rodriguez. They are the team to beat.

I hate the cubs, too. I am a Reds fan, so please feel sorry for me:) I agree the Angels are the team to beat. I think that the Dodgers will overtake the Dbacks now that they have ManRam

It's still hard to tell this early, but I do believe the DSetroit Tigers have a chance of being the first team ever to go 0-7 and make the playoffs. That thing about pudge. If the Yankees were interested in him for his offensive ability, which seems to be the case because they already have a great catcher, they may be a little disappointed. Sure he go on straks but he also strikes out alot and also flys out. I think we got the better end of the deal getting back Kyle Farnsworth.

They needed a catcher period because Posada had season ending surgrery, I believe. That is why I love trades, though, you can talk so much about them but never know unitl the season is over all they turned out. I am a Reds fan, so we have no prayer. Good luck with your Tigers

While the Red Sox will still have title, it is hard to be convincing. Looking upon further examination, I would have to go with the Angels as a team that you really don't want to play. In fact, watching that team has shown that they may have the pitching to pretty much knock everyone out of the picture. The National League may come down to the Brew Crew and the Cubs. CC Sabathia is a machine. I'd say the Brewers got the better of that trade with Cleveland but that's just me.

Right now they are slumping but can they rebound. I say I think they can rebound and it will take more than 1 guy to get it done. Just maybe get all their problems out of their system before it really mounts even higher and move on from there. That series with the Cubs knocked them silly and hasn't recovered since. The Cardinals are creeping up on Milwaukee.

They have been exciting, but I hate to say it...I think the Brewers are realizing they are the Brewers. I think they will end up in third place by the end of the season with the Cardinals taking the Wild Card. Good luck in the race. I am a Reds fan and we don't have a prayer. Never do these days.
