I was stumbling around the internet trying to find a way to check out distances from my house. I am not actually sure how I got there, but I came across a site for walker, runs, bikers, ect. that allows them to plot courses and get the distance calculated for you! It is awesome and it's free!!!! However, as soon as I can afford it I am going to become a member to help support such incredibly helpful site. It even has links you can find out and train for marathons and join groups in your area with people who are runners (or walkers, bikers, ect). I am going to hold off on joining a running group until I can get to 3 miles a day, that seems to be a starting point for them. I am starting my first day in a few moments. I have been trying to walk atleast a mile twice a week. I think my first run today will be a mile (run then walk then run then walk...) lol! You have got to check this site out!

Thanks for sharing this site, I walk 1 - 3 miles a day, 5 days a week. I think I'll enjoying checking out this website. When the weather is bad, I normally walk with a workout show, it On Demand, and it's a walking exercise, she has two shows one is a mile the other 2 miles, and it is a great work-out.

I think that anyone will enjoy this site. I am going on vacation today and I was able to map out my runs in each of the cities that I will be in next week. That will give me a good idea of the distance I need to jog. I was also able to increase my distance for each day since the plan calculates your total distance with each increase that you make. Fantastic site. I never really thought about it before but I am now hoping to get into good enough shape so I can enter one of the local marathons in the future. They provide listings for upcoming events as well. It would also be nice to meet other runners in my area.
