your bare non-carpeted floors? Which do you find easier? Sometimes I just do not feel like dragging out the vacuum to do the bare floors... does anyone feel the same or do you sweep and vacuum, or just prefer one or the other?

I like to use my electric broom on the bare floors. I find it faster and cleaner. I have two cats and there's alot of fur and the vacuum picks it up better. The kitchen with it's crumbs gets cleaned better I feel with the vacuum. I find that I can get done faster that way too.

I don't hear any real good things about the rechargeable ones. The one I have is electric with a cord, which is pretty long. I think it cost me when I bought it under $25.00. It was on sale in K-Mart. I wouldn't do without one.

I agree it gets them cleaner, I do not own an electric broom, maybe I should get one. You feel it's a good investment.. what about the ones you can recharge.. ever see them?

I prefer vacuuming. It's easier to get dust from small corners and no worry that the dust might be blown off back on the floor. After vacuuming, mop the floor. Then, you'll get a sparkly floor.

This is true, I have noticed that dust get back on the floor, then I have to sweep it up all over again. I wonder how much dust actually gets into the air by sweeping... Hmmm
