Did you'll see the solar eclipse on Friday. I was unlucky as it was partial in my region and anyway it wouldn't have helped as it was very cloudy with no signs of the sun. I made amends though by watching it on the net live using nasa tv. I was a mesmerizing experience as I watched the entire sun being covered by the moon's shadow. I was in my office with my colleagues watching it. I was truly great. Did you'll get to see this spectacle?

Yeah cloudy weather played spoil-sport. Anyway, I guess the safest method of viewing it is on TV only.

Nope, I live in the northeasat U.S. and got cheated again. I can remember one eclpis that has crossed over us in recent memoy in this part of the country. It was about 15 years ago. Wasn't even a full eclips though, the distance between the moon and earth was too great to completely block the sun, it just dimmed it.It was kinds wierd though. It made everything have kind of a milky apearence.

I too have never witnessed a total solar eclipse in real. I guess the best and safest way to view it is on TV or the net.

It never was seen where I stay. I looked into the sky at the right time mentioned but just saw the sun behind clouds. I guess I'll have to wait for the next one and hope I am lucky!
