How many text messages do you send in a day?

A lot of us own cellphones and use this as our means of communication with other people.
On way on contacting others is through the use of text messaging. In our country,
it is said that majority of cellphone users send more than 50 text messages a day. These
people have textmates and are fond of sending quotes to their friends. Are
you like these people? Or do you just send text messages only when necessary?

I used to be a text addict, but I guess that period comes and goes. In this time, I barely know that I have a cellphone. I mean, I send messages when I need to and when someone asks about something. Also, in this time, no more text mates, hihi, there is only one person from my phonebook that I particularly sent most of my messages, my boyfriend. Hmm, basically, in a day around 15 messages for him, just to let him know how i am doing.

Same here! The person I send the most messages to is my boyfriend. Text messaging is a big part in our relationship and it is our number one means of communication. Thanks for sharing.

i am india ,,and sending text message is in trend from long time here.
but i used to do nearly 5 msgs day per day when i first bought cellphone 3yrs back
but now hardly send 1 msg in 5 days.

Never send text messages drather talk to the person.
and it is very annoying when someone visits and is texting all the time for you just know they arent hearing what you are saying and have to repeat . I tell them when they get done then we can visit.!

I am not really into texting... i am not fond of sending quotes to others... and if i ever get one... i don't really reply... i prefer to just call... since i can say what i want to say clearly and faster... but if i want to save on my cell phone bill... i text a very long message...

I hardly ever send a text message I would rather talk to the person then send them somethnig to read. I do text maybe twice a year and that is usually to send a picture I have taken on my phone or something.

Hmm, I'm not fond of using text messaging, I mean, I only send text messages only when necessary or emergency. I rarely send quotes to my friends and don't think I want to have a textmate who requires you to text him/her, which I don't like. I only send quotes or text my friends once in a while especially when we have no contact for a long time or when his/her birthdays.
