Leaving The Toilet Seat Up - Right or Wrong ?

Hey folks, I have had the usual 'ear bashing' this week about leaving the toilet seat up all the time. Please let me ask a question ... WHO SAID IT HAS TO BE DOWN ? In fact, I will go further ... WHY DON'T YOU GIRLS LEAVE THE TOILET SEAT UP ? It is "So Annoying" to keep finding the seat down when I want the loo. You lady folk seem to demand equality, so lets be equal then - Whoever uses the loo most, gets to have his or her way! Hmmm!

The toilet seat has to be put down at all times. Except of course when the male is using it. It is much more anoying for a woman to find it up all the time. You can use th toilet if you had to if the seat was down. You might have to wipe it after but a woman cannot use the toilet if the seat is up. Have you ever gone to sit on the toilet at night thinking it was down and it wasnt. grrrr, that is much more than annoying it is fighting actions. That is my opinion. I am sure most women feel the same.

I have to agree. It's annoying for girls to say that guy's need to put the seat down. The guy's have to put it up every time they go to pee, why should they have to put it back down? Why can't the girls meet them half way and just do it themselves if the guys forget, instead of making such a big deal out of it? I think that men who have to deal with women that complain about that should just leave it down for a few days, and if they get a little pee on it, the girl should just have to deal with it. A better compromise would be to just look before you sit. It takes two seconds to put the seat down, and they still don't look. Women assume that the seat will be down and so they sit and then they want to get angry. But, they should know that it's wrong to assume. The only male in my house is Dad, but when there is a guy in the house, I always check, because I don't want a wet bottom! Why can't other women do the same?

That's a really balanced comment you made. Personally, I do actually comply with the desired requests of the ladies because I think that it looks, and is, tidy and proper. But woe betide me when I forget. Thanks for your comment - interesting. GTG

Yeh! It's easy to criticise others though isn't it? I often find myself slipping into this mode, and then, thinking to myself that no-one ever made me a judge !!

I am all about balance and compromise. I get disgusted easily when people expect something out of someone that they are not giving themselves.

I'm with ya on this one. Fortunately for me, tara my wife has never really gave a crap about whether it's up or down. Which is great because i've never had to worry about it up or down or nothing, it's not even an issue at all. I like it.
