What do you like with your peanut butter?

The classic thing to put in a peanut butter sandwich is jelly of course. But there are some other alternatives to sweeten, or otherwise add flavour to a peanut butter sandwich. Some that I have tried are honey and banana. Both of which tasted excellent. Much to my surprise, I also found cheddar cheese to be tasty in a peanut butter sandwich. These are all good instead off, not in addition to jelly. How about you? Is there something other than jelly that, for you, makes a peanut butter sandwich taste good?

Without a doubt, marshmallow fluff and peanut butter...you just can't beat it. My Mom, loves peanut butter and onion sandwich's (Yuck!) I have never heard of cheddar cheese and peanut butter? I might have to give it a try.

Nice idea! I'll definitely try the marshmallow. Can't say I'll do the same with the onion. Sounds healthy though.

Hie there, I like it with chocolate spread or cream corn and lots of crunchy peanuts spread on waffles or pancakes. Taste so yummy on hot waffles or warm pancakes as the butter melts on the surface. And I prefer to have it on single slices of bread folded into two so that it's easier to fit into the mouth Cheers,

Peanut but is not a common thing here in Uganda-what we have in plenty is peanut paste-this is a product of roasted peanuts packed in tins-they are basically used in sandwiches, but most importantly, in my culture, women use it for seasoning dry meat or greens like malakwang-it makes source taste fantastic

I'm really just a classic peanut butter addict. I want peanut butter on bread, period. But I have read somewhere that PB and pickles also taste terrific. I haven't quite tried this yet and am still trying to imagine how well their tastes would pair off. If you care to try ahead of me, please let me know.

I do like peanut butter once in a while. I like it on pancakes with syrup over it. I'm not mush on jam or jelly any more. I do like peanut butter with a banana mixed in. but I usually just sprinkle some sugar over it to cut the sticking to the roof of my mouth. Other wise I like it the way it is.

I have a terrible addiction to peanut butter. When I was a kid, my mom used cut bananas into slices then wrap a peanut buttery piece of bread around each slice...a different take on the peanut butter and banana sandwich. I love them. I'm also a big fan of just taking a spoon and digging in, although it's not something you should do if you're planning to answer the phone or speak to anyone. I've also heard that melted peanut butter is good on vanilla ice cream, although I've yet to try it.

Oh I love peanut butter sandwiches. I like them with honey, banana (grilled banana & PB is so yummy), jam, cinnamon, thin sliced apple. I tried a new creation recently..grilled PB, banana, and dark chocolate chips (for a dessert treat)...it was very yummy. I used to like them with chocolate spread or marshmallow fluff but that's just too sweet (and unhealthy) for me to eat these days. :-)

I've never really been that much of a fan of peanut butter. I don't care too much for the taste. The only reason I eat a little bit every day is because theirs studies saying it can naturally raise your testosterone levels compared to people who don't eat it at all. I don't want to break down too fast as I age so I want to keep my testosterone levels above normal.

Toasted bread with butter. The taste of toasted bread with butter is truly enticing and the peanut butter goes well with it.

Bananas are my favorite, but I also like peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwiches. Everyone thinks I'm weird, but I say, don't knock it 'til you try it!

I like peanut butter cookies and peanut butter and celery. I shouldn't eat it at all because peanuts give me headaches but I still do sometimes and take a tylonol later.

I always do the cheese and peanut butter combo and I love it so much. I think I still need to experiment with the Peanut butter. There are flavored peanut butter in the market, like with guava and chocolate. So far the choco peanut butter is what I like from the varieties.

You are right, there are lots of different things we can put with our peanut butter sandwiches. I have tried them with jelly, as you stated, the most popular. I have eaten them with sliced cheese, bananas, honey, mayo, cucumber slices fresh from the garden. I am sure if I keep thinking about it I could probably come up with a few more, oh yeah, plain potato chips are good on it too. I will be reading some of your other responses once I post my response and see if anyone has more ideas that sound interesting. I may try a few of them. Alrighty then, talk to you later, your friend Chris.

L love peanut butter but it has to be crunchy, the smooth isnt an option for me,I love it spread on to newly baked bread, and thickly too,the taste is very moreish, and as its extremely high in fat I suppose we should be pretty careful how much we eat!but lol its so lovely ,and on warm bread when the butter starts to sink in,it is superb.

I love peanut butter with grape jelly. Sometimes I like peanut butter with banana. My boyfriend and my son like peanut butter with marshmallow fluff, and sometimes with jelly added to it. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds good.
