"i hate them"

We had a family reunion.My dad prepared dinner for her sister who visited our country and my aunt is already a U.S. citizen had to come home to attend the burial of her husbands family member.So as soon as my dad knew that they are here he invited my aunt to visit my dad (I don't live with my dad now) for dinner and my dad invited some of his siblings family as well. What I observed is that my relatives changed.They became a U.S. citizen and they acted as if they are the richest people who visited a poor family.They started boasting and these "pretending to be rich relatives" of mine looked and talked to my dad as if he is not their brother. My dad prepared dinner and I overheard one my aunt saying that "we are going to eat again"...meaning prior to going to my dads place they already went to a fine dining restaurant and had dinner.My dad prepared a lot of food. How come there are some people who just don't give respect.Don't they have a slightest idea that my dad treat them so special?My siblings and I actually don't like the idea of inviting them for dinner bec. they never remember my dad,they don't call my dad and they don't even care about my dads life here.But what touched me the most was the message explained to us by our dad that "Even if I am not well off like them,if they consider that I am poor..what's important is that I remember them and they will remember me when I die that I was nice to them even if they don't treat me as person."...it broke my heart.:c
