Are you Generally Busy or Relaxed at Home?

What I mean is, do you use your home as a hive of activity, or to take things easy? For my part, I spend most of my time at home seated or lying down; I'm sedentary in my place. On the other hand when outside, I do alot of walking about; I'm active in the outside world in other words. Some folks conversely do not spend alot of time outside and yet many hours a day in a flurry of domestic activity. They are homebodies. Which are you, an active outside sort of person, or a non-stop inside busy bee; and what do you prefer other people to be?

I am very relaxed at home, it's my haven, my sanctuary, my escape from the outside world, I spend a lot of time on the computer and watching dvds, I currently live at home with my parents and have my bedroom as my 'space' I go to the gym 5 times a week and I am very active so I like to use my bedroom as a place to relax and rest the muscles from a hard work out, I can shut the world out and do as I please, bliss, pure bliss!

I can identify; there is great joy and peace to be had in retreating from the world into a private space to enjoy the internet, DVDs, or create, or just to relax and think about things.

I guess I am a homebody, I do not go out an awful lot unless I have to. I do keep myself busy at home though with various things so I am not always sitting down doing nothing. I am usually on the go all day and then night times is when I sit and do nothing.

It's good to get things done around the house isn't it. I always feel satisfied when I've successfully completed a series of tasks I've set myself around my place. Then I might allow myself some do-nothing time...

I am not non stop busy person outside or in. I have certain things that I want to do and I do them. But if there isn't anything to do when I am home, I watch a good movie.

Unwinding is so important. Some folks seem to be always on the go. I don't know where they get the energy.

Hi friends, My kids and my husband always laugh because I can never just sit and watch tv. I always have to be doing something like my crosswords or sudokus, or tapping away on my laptop like I am now. I cannot just sit and watch tv. It drives me nuts. My hands have to stay busy. But I think my house is very calming. Not a lot of drama around here. I have three almost grown kids and they pretty well do their own things in their rooms. I'm pretty comfortable in my home. Cheers, Cheryl

I can identify. I do most of my walking about outside, and spend alot of time taking it easy inside, but even when seated or lying down, I rarely sit for no reason. I lie down only when I'm seriously snoozy for a nap; and when sitting down, I am usually active, on the computer, or writing, or sorting out papers or photographs. I'm a time puritan. I do chill sometimes, I mean, doing nothing, like last thing at night, I like to watch a DVD...but even then I never complete a film. I watch a bit, and save the rest for later.

I would say that I am a little bit of both in my home. During the afternoons when I am home, I am usually cleaning, gardening or doing college from home. At night I am more relaxed, I usually watch some TV, check my e-mails, shower and get ready for bed. I would say that I am more of a homebody, but it's a close call because I love to be outdoors too. Take care!

It's good that you know how to unwind. Some folks never stop moving, even when they're home. It's good you work hard, and yet relax well too; that is good balance.
