Has anyone stopped watching the Indians since they are losing so much?

I am a dedicated Indians fan and can't imagine not watching them, no matter what they do. It is sad to watch them continue to struggle and lose so many games, and those of the team who are fighting so hard to keep winning don't always seem to get the credit that they deserve for NOT giving up. The local paper here can't seem to find room on the front page of the sports section unless they are playing the Tigers. When Lee won his 14th game, there was a little blurb on the front of the sports section, but the article was buried with in the section. It's as though since they aren't playing well, they don't really exist. They did have 2 players on the all star team! Have you stopped watching them? Who is your favorite player? I like Grady Sizemore and he is doing wonderfully!

I'm too nervous to pick a player because they could get rid of him in a heart beat. It's like this team gets punched around and is the media's favorite punching bag franchise or one of them. I like Lee on the team and Grady as well but I hope they don't consider getting rid of them because of them doing well. That's just my one main concern about this team. I just get more and more frustrated by watching. I'm a bit worried about next season. Sometimes I see them in the paper but other times I look online and then see what happens. Most of the time, it's dominated by New York, Boston, or now Brett Favre.

From everything I've read, those 2 are safe. Well, the trading is over for now, anyway. I've heard that Sabathia may be back next year since he is a free agent and possibly was sent away to help someone else to get to the top. (not sure about that one) I've been upset with the local paper here who seems to think that the Tigers are the only team here and I am going to email the sports department and remind them that there are people who want to hear about the Indians too, even if they are at the bottom of the standings. I will still be a fan. Thanks for the response.

No problem. For mine, I don't usually run into issues with the Tigers showing up. Sometimes I hear complaints about not having the Steelers in the paper but that's about it. Mostly as far as baseball, they give the Indians coverage but sometimes it's short. I'm glad both Grady and Lee are safe 'cause right now I was a bit concerned considering the mentality of this franchise. I would like to see CC back honestly. I'm still scratching my head on that one. If he continues to pitch strong, then I'm still going to be asking myself why didn't they keep him. He's like a machine for Milwaukee and just destroying everyone in his path. I've been checking online with his progress and he's all ready 5-0 there.

It sucks now with all the "rebuilding" they've done. It's so sad that in 3 years we only have what like 5 guys left from that magical 2007 year...there's Grady, Fausto, Pronk, Jensen if he actually stays in the majors and doesn't get sent back down every time he makes an appearance, Aaron Laffey, and Asdrubal, so 6 guys. It's sad to see all the guys leaving, but I'll always watch, that's my team. But being from the area, that's how our teams are always treated, it's always when we're doing bad they rub it in, if we're doing good, oh well they're going to lose in the end anyway, we can never win in the national media's eyes. Grady's my favorite, always will be, even if they do the unthinkable with him :( and trade him, but I don't see that happening, he's their money maker.

I am also a Grady fan and miss him this year with the injury. My grand daughter is almost 15 and she is a Grady fan as well, and says if they get rid of him, she isn't a fan anymore!! We went to see them play a couple years ago, and she and her mother went across the stadium to get closer to take a picture of him. They were gone a couple innings! The pictures weren't all that good, though. Choo is an excellent addition and a couple of the younger ones, but I don't learn names for a long while. This year I could not believe that they got rid of Westbrook and Martinez. I never have learned the names of the players! Only the ones who I like! Thanks for the comments.......GO INDIANS!!

I don't often get to see them as I don't live in the area but I have been to the stadium a few times and it was nice. We stayed right downtown and it was a very short walk. I think a lot of people stop watching once the team basically gives up. With football camps starting more people will move on to their next hoe, the Browns. People are expecting a lot from them this year as well.

I haven't been to the stadium at all this year.......2 hours away......but I try to watch the games on the television when I can. It seems there is always something interrupting it and it drives me crazy. Tonight I was invited to dinner and went but when I came home I'd found out they won.....yippee!! Thanks for the response.

I never stop watching cricket of Men in blue untill my life ends. Ya offcourse they will loose the important matches but it's not the thing that they will loose every time. They won the important match like Australian series by winning two finals continuously without fail in their home town(Australia). But every team is having rise and fall like Indian team. If they lost a series or two means not like that to stop watching the match, they will do best for the next time. What you think friend??

I have to admit that Im always interested in how the Indians are doing because of that damn movie called "Major League". I love that movie and cant seem to turn the station whenever it comes on still, even though Ive seen it 25 times, I was going to say a million times but that wouldnt be true and everyone always says that. Anyway I keep thinking and waiting for "Serano" to make an appearance and help the Indians out but it just doesnt happen. Seriously Im always routing for em and evry once in a while I'll even make a small wager on them, they've only let me down twice out of about 10 times so how can I not like the Indians. My favorite player used to be Tomie, but now I dont have one for the Indians, just like them as a whole. Go Indians
