why do we use the word "since"???

ever since i had learned English i have heard the word "since" so many times i don't know why we use it???? this word is really strange to me..

OMG Since I read yor post I was thinking.. Snce I was a Baby, my parents fed me with a bottle, they rely on the bottle, always have SICE they were young LOL.. this kills me!.. OMG it has killed me SINCE I have read it LOL

Since can be confusing as it can be used in two ways. The first means a period of time - "I have been using mylot since 2007" meaning from 2007 onwards I have been using mylot. It can also be used instead of the word because - since you have not eaten your vegetables you will not get any dessert. I hope this helps.
