Kimchi...healthy or just plain stinky?

Don't get me wrong because I love eating this food. I cannot deny though that despite its health benefits, the smell can be very overpowering. What do you think?

I tried kimchi only once and I liked it, but since I am sensitive to chili, I don't try it often. My husband, however, just loves it. He can eat a whole bottle in just one sitting. So one time I tried to make kimchi, but I couldn't find the kimchi power that is supposed to be used.

Hey, thanks! I got the recipe from the internet, but really couldn't fine that kimchi powder here. I even tried korean and japanese stores, but they offered me the finished product instead. Maybe they didn't really wanna share their secret haha.

I've been meaning to make it but I lost the recipe given to me by a friend. If i can retrieve it, I'll share it with you. Thanks.

Most often, healthy foods have their downside. i guess Kimchi's downside is its smell but i like eating it still.

Yup, me too. I just buy it from a nearby Korean grocery store.

I love kimch! I like it hot or sweet, and I eat it whenever I get a chance! I do think it's healthier than a lot of other snacks, but I can also understand how people would be put off. The smell of the stronger 'mixes' can be really intimidating, if you're not used to it, and I can see how that would be offputting.

Very true. The smell before was certainly off putting but I got used to it and it's great.

It's fermented veggies with spices and other things in it. It's a Korean staple food. Healthy but has an overpowering smell.
