Yes, it is true. John(Grandpa Simpson)McCain's political ads sure have caused a lot of complaints of late. Have they been worth it? Are they working? Here's an article about one of the latest national polls. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/08/03/politics/p150129D09.DTL I say, let McCain's opponents complain. The ads are doing the job! What do you say?

Yes indeedy. I heard on the news that the two were now tied 44%. I wasn't surprised. That stupid remark that Obama made about how McCain (et al) were scared because he didn't look like former presidents was lame. And not visiting the injured troops? Some think there is no excuse for that.

I certainly agree. It seems the more the public gets to really know Obama, the less they like him.

Smart PR people behind McCain if you ask me! So Obama is getting more air time and coverage than McCain?..... Create your own mini-controversies and turn the tide! Arguably any and all publicity is GOOD publicity and even though he may be getting some complaints he is at least being discussed by all for once! Good for him I say! At least he is not being dogged by "Was he or wasn't he" religious references and outrageous Ministers!

It is a shame that good PR makes such a difference instead of who has the best policy recommendations.

I would never intentionally help Obama. True, there are those who would vote against whoever I was for, but that can't be helped. Besides, Grandpa Simpson is a lovable, somewhat grumpy character who was a hero in WWII. Don't forget, he almost took Hitler out with a sniper rifle but someone bumped the rifle as he pulled the trigger. We can use a hero like that today.

Agreed! It all comes down to who has the best "spin doctors" behind them. By the way you have completely damaged my pysche with the Grandpa Simpson tag and I just cannot see him on the news or read about him anymore without insyantly picturing the same! Maybe Obama could use a man like you! lol ;)

I think so too. When you consider that everytime Obamoron opens his mouth, he usually winds up saying something stupid and then has to go back and try to fix it... well that can't help either. Obama tried to go negative on McCain and it backfired... he tried to tie McCain to big oil in hope of cashing in on the high gas prices and the blame game that Congress has been plying with the oil company.... he forgot about his own involvement.
