Who is looking forward to The Sims 2 Apartment Life EP?

The sims finally get to live in apartments! It's a great concept and I'm really looking forward to some of the new features. Spiral staircases are back which will be great space-savers. Ceilings have been introduced for movie-makers. Also, we will finally have witches as the new supernatural creature; I was a huge fan of Makin' Magic for the original sims, so I'm really excited about that feature. I only hope, however, that the game isn't riddled with bugs. Since the apartments will be pretty big I dare say that it'll take pretty high spec computers to deal with it. What are your thoughts about the newest ep?

I've totally psyched for this! I've got a lot of stuff to do to "prepare" though, like backup my game and everything.

Me too. I've also been putting some thought into who I'm going to move where when/if I get the apartment system set up. I already know who will be my first witch! They have a video up on the official website now if you haven't seen it already.:)

I'll probably leave most of my families where they are, and just play with the new families that come with and already live in apartments (I'm kind of ASSUMING there will be new families living in apartments!)

Yeah, they have confirmed that there will be an entirely new neighborhood shipped with the game (Belladonna Cove) and it should have lots of pre-made sims to play around with. :)

I'm redoing my house at the moment and again I found myself wishing there were spiral staircases. I'm happy to hear that they're back! My friend is really excited about this one because she tried to make an apartment once. However, the people never went to their "apartment" and would go to sleep in someone else's bed. It annoys me when that happens in my house with my family so I can imagine her frustration. I figure this will be the last expansion for Sims 2. The only reason I say that is that it's getting closer to the release of Sims 3. And I still have a lot of catching up to do with 2. I don't have all the expansions yet. Better get on that!

The stairs always got on my nerves with the Sims 2 so it's good to finally have the space-saving spirals back. I've tried to create an apartment a few times. With the lockable door feature that can be used with the Pets, it's sort of possible, but bill paying isn't realistic and the locked door idea only works for apartments with single people living in them. :-/ I imagine that it will be the last EP for the sims 2 too. Shame, but I suppose that all good things have to come to an end. As for the Sims 3, I really don't know what to think of it yet.

Spiral staircases are cool, but I had already downloaded some good ones from one of the third-party site (probably modthesims2 since I get most of my stuff from there) so it wasn't really a big deal to me. The main feature for me was being able to have more than one family on a lot, since a lot of my storylines have involved people moving into flats when they first leave home or their marriage breaks up lol. It was possible to do before using dorm or hotel doors but still, it was pretty annoying if you forgot to lock your door and all your neighbors kept wandering in and out of your apartment! But that was really the only reason I got it, since I have no interest in witches or other supernatural beings whatsoever.
