Are you being affected by the closing of a local starbucks? How do you feel about this? Chime in with your thoughts about this American Icon shutting down many locations and actually laying off fellow Javarians!! Also... Has anyone been hit by the new fees at that the airlines are charging due to higher fuel prices..? What was your first reaction to the new charges and what alternatives have you found for shipping those extra bags to cut back on the extra fees. Please share your experience... Any input is helpful.

Maybe the people who run Starbucks would do better to lower their prices than to close some of their stores. When the economy is less than wonderful, people look for little ways to cut spending. Starbucks was one of the first things I dropped when things started getting difficult. If they weren't so exorbitant, maybe they'd do much better!

We only rarely go to Starbucks. Its a treat. So if we have to go a bit further, so be it. The airline industry is suffering what with security concerns, and gas prices. It doesn't surprise me this was a result. My dad flew into town with just a backpack to avoid the charges.

From what I've seen, if the local Starbucks shut down, it'd only mean I'd have to walk another 100 yards to the next branch. Or just go in a 7-11 and get a proper cup of coffee. I'm not a big fan, as you might guess ;)
