You know what I mean. Have you ever gotten a traffic ticket? Been arrested for ANY thing - domestic squabble, drunk and disorderly, disturbing the peace, etc, etc, etc????
Do you really want everyone in the world to have access to that information for FREE?
What about people with the same name who may have done something and now people think YOU are the guilty person?
Well, there is a site that does put that information out there on the Internet for anyone to look up for FREE - if you live in the US - in any state or county.
Here is a link to a story about this site - http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/03/technology/03essay.html?th&emc=th
They do make a point that landlords, businesses, and neighbors want to know if they are renting to, hiring, or living next door to a criminal and many of them cannot afford to pay for a background check. But, does that give them the right to check you out without your permission and make decisions about you based on something that happened 5, 10, or even 20 years ago?
And, what if the information is WRONG? This site says it is not "responsible" and you have to get the reporting government agency to correct THEIR records and ONLY then will the update correct/remove the information on this site? How much damage could be done BEFORE that happens?
It also does not have any way to differentiate between people of the same name; so, if you have a common name, you could be getting the blame for things you never did!
What do you think? Is this a good idea or not?

Be glad you live in the Phillipines then. If you lived in the US and it had anything to do with the police or a government agency; it would now be public knowledge and could come back to haunt you and destroy the better life you are building.
