When a man gives you flowers…

I am expecting my man to pick me up in the office last Thursday so we can go to the dentist together for our appointment. When I was about to go out with my office mates, I never did expect that he will be there since he told me that he is running late, so I guess I still can go with them at the cafeteria while waiting for him. On our way to the cafeteria, I saw him, carrying this big bouquet of assorted flowers, I don’t know their specific names, but their color is the best. It has orange flowers, violet roses, white flowers with pink linings on its petals, white tulips, and yellow flowers. The arrangement was fine and the color combination looks really good. I was ecstatic and wasn’t able to react, say 20 seconds as he handed it to me. My office mates starts teasing and left me with him since they are about to eat. The next day, a lot in the office keeps on teasing me about what happened the day before. . I am not really comfortable about them teasing me though I am really proud of of what my man did, in fact there is no special occasion at that time, he told me that he just feel like giving it to me and I should expect it moving forward. I felt so beautiful at that moment, like I was the the one for him. I know this awkward feeling that the people in the office gives, will pass and eventually they will stop teasing me. For women, do you feel the same way when your man gives you flowers on places you never could imagine they will do? Tell me how do you feel?

They may have been teasing you, but I bet deep down they are a little jealous that you got such a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I have never been teased about getting flowers at work before. I think it is a very sweet gesture. Especially when there was no special reason for it.

Yes you are right, the fact that there was no special reason that my man gave me flowers is what makes everything lovely. I know the teasing would all go away. Thank you for the response.

I think that was a beautiful gesture from your man, and a little office teasing can be a little fun and lightens the day for everyone, I think you should accept what has happened with absolute joy and be proud he is your man treating you in such a good way, i think it is lovely...

hi january my husband never did give me flowers and I always said you never bring me flowers, so one day He said I am going to get you some flowers, so he took our garden wheelborrow and went off. H e came back a little later with a wheelborrow full of shasta daisies, gorgeous big white shaggy blooms. He even planted them'for me in the front yard. they were truly beautiful and my mom had so many she wanted to share wih us. He truly did give me flowers and teased me a lot about his gift.

A wheel borrow of assorted flowers and he even planted them for you in the front yard?! That was amazing, even if you asked for it, the effort that he made in looking for those flowers and also for planting it for you made him worthy for you to be proud of him. Thank you for the response.

Hey, that was really something. So romantic. But I usually get chocolates instead of flowers.

my boyfriend does this every now and then but not so much with flowers anymore. im overly sentimental so i usually end up crying when he gives them to me. lol. it does make me feel like im something singular in his life, like im someone really special. i especially like it when he tells me he bought them "just because". i think those are the most special kinds of gifts. he buys me little things when hes out and thinks of me. it lets me know im on his mind all day. :)

You're boyfriend is sweet as well. The fact that they give us something without any special occasion is what makes everything lovely. This act from them makes us realize that they think of us with or without a special reason. They think of us, during their normal days and those little things- are perfect. Thank you for the response.
