unresolved?

Hi- i posted 2 discussions and they are in the unresolved...does anyone know what this means? how do i resolve them? Is it for me to resolve? also- i know that we aren't supposed to put links to have people sign up under our discussions...so how do we report someone if they respond with a link themselves.... Hope to hear from someone about these Questions. Thanks.
