As per the title of this discussion, does anyone know if such a Y-cable is available on the market? Does anyone know of a manufacturer that perhaps might make one?
Now I am not referring to a midi/USB interface cable that connects to a PC.
No. This cable I do know of, but it is not what I need.
I'm interested in knowing if there's such a thing, as a cable that connects to an instrument's MINI USB end, and has the other end being the "Y" midi in/out end.
My reason for asking is simple. I'd like to connect my USB midi keyboard to an EXTERNAL midi sequencer...and/or/plus...be able to add other midi devices, such as a Lexicon FX box etc, via the squencer's midi thru port.
You see, I'm not too familiar with virtual sequencers per se, and/or how to set-up the sync. However I AM more familiar working with my old Roland Super MRC MK-II "external" sequencer.
OK...I'm from the old school. But frankly, I'm not too crazy about this new USB midi to PC technology. I prefer the old midi 5-pin cable system.
So....if there's anyone out there that can help me on this, I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers;
