We know family consists of group of people with blood relation. If you are in a family, whom you are very close to and whom you are not? There may be similarities of interests also between two or more!

At the present time only my husband and I (and our cat) make up the immediate family, but we have grown children and grandchildren. We are closer to our daughter than to our son because she keeps in touch more frequently. Daughter calls at least 3 times a week, but we're lucky if son calls 3 times a month.
My husband has never been close to his siblings, and now they are all deceased. Although they live in different states from us, I'm pretty close to my brothers, especially the youngest. He is sensitive for a man and is interested in my health and my thoughts about any and all subjects. I also am close to some of my cousins. One was my playmate when we were children, and we've stayed in touch all the years. Another, I've become close to because we have similar health problems. The third cousin with whom I'm especially close is enough older than I that we were not playmates or even friends when we were children. We became close friends after we were senior citizens. My mother was in a nursing home in the town where this cousin lived, and she (the cousin) was the principal caregiver for her elderly mother. We also have had the same type of other domestic problems.
