Is success - achieved just by hardwork?

It is said, ' success comes by hardwork'. But, it is only a half-truth, as per my knowledge. If only hardwork would bring success, the stone-crusher, or the cart-puller would be more successful than BILL GATES or such great thinkers/innovators.
Success comes by hardwork, plus LEARNING, THINKING and PLANNING.

I believe you are right. There is nothing wrong with hard work. But careful planning and strategic ways of thinking can also prove beneficial to one's success. You have to think on your feet and you can get what you want if you really try.
Yes, Gates is a good example of someone who must have had a plan and executed it through a lot of careful thinking.

bama kelly.. thankyou for the comments. You have put words to my thoughts. Now, the question is, can we make ourselves as successful as Gates, or such other great achievers? i HAVE read and re-read a book called Think and Grow Rich - It gave me a lot of inspiration. Have you read that?

I can't say that I have heard of that one but it sounds like it has proven enlightening to you. I am sure there are a lot of books to help the self toward enrichment. Thank you for comments.
