I hate the heat....

If I could gather up my immediate family and extended family and move farther north I would. This heat is killing me!!! I'm in southeast Georgia, and during the day you can't do anything. Everytime I step outside I feel like my very soul is being sucked out by the heat. I take out the trash, I have to come in and sit down. Go out to tend to the dogs, again, have to come in and recuperate. At this time of the year you can't have a picnic, family get together outside or anything without feeling like the pure life is draining out of you. Get dressed, put on a little make-up, by the time you get to where you're going your clothes are soaked and your make-up is dripping off your chin. Forget about fixing your hair and spraying it into place, the humidity takes care of that, you end up looking like your waring a dead animal on your head, all wilted and flat. And to think it won't get any better, I don't care what they say...it's getting worse every year.

I know it is hot, and I think last year was cooler. They keep telling me this summer is cooler than expected, but whatever...105 degrees and 90% humidity is enough to keel me over. If I want to get much done, I get up at 5am to do it. And not everything is open that early if you have to run errands. It is miserable, and I just thank God I have an air conditioner.

I don't think I could survive without AC, as a matter of fact I know I couldn't. I'm counting down the weeks when I can open my windows again, can't get here soon enough to suit me.

I'm so glad I didn't live in the pre air conditioner days. I would have never have made it in Oklahoma back in the early 1900s.

I am willing to go with you, maybe we could go to Minnesota where we could raid Grandpa Bobs garden.

I don't care where we go as long as it is far enough north that we're not suffocated by the heat and humidity.

That humidity is a real pain, I agree. I don't know how anyone can stand to live in a place like that. I like the desert, it gets very hot but the humidity level is normally around ten percent, at least you can breathe without sucking in water

That is so funny, 'sucking water'. That just about discribes it too. Last summer was bad, this summer seems to be worse, wonder what I get to look forward too next year? Bummer.
