i truly believe a lot of modern music is not good for our children. sure, there are many modern day artists out there that are good influences, but i feel they are few and far between.
i hope to raise my two children, ages three and four, on old country music, a bit of folk music, and some good ol' fifties tunes.
how do you feel about today's music?

I like love songs. Especially the old ones. There are some instrumental that I enjoyed. You are right for choosing the most suited music for your kids. And obviously, it is the old ones. Or the classic music. It helps the children to have a class.

there is some truly amazing music out there. i am such a fan of music. i cannot imagine life without it! i love some of the old hits from the fifties.
i love when my children sing beatles songs :) they might be considered odd balls when they start school though, lol.
there is nothing that bothers me more than a small child singing that song my humps or that new song i kissed a girl. i think they just portray such seductiveness.

That's great cause i too got raised on good music. A mixture of the olden times and music of the 60"s and 70"s. My girls too are into music themselves with my youngest a leader of her school band. But i do not worry about their choice of music. Sure they have their favorites nowadays but they share my interest in music of my era. I for myself can appreciate the modern music they love.
