I had my first kid when I was 23, second when I was 25, and third when I was 29. One divorce and another husband later, I had number four when I turned 40. For the whole first year with my new addition, I felt more like I was babysitting...now, I'm finally beginning to feel like she is really mine. Its a whole new experience... different, but good. Has anyone else felt that way?

I got married at 18 then had my first at 19. The second at age 26 then the youngest at 35. Five years younger than you but the gaps between my pregnancies made a difference. Yes, it was good for my health but it always felt like i am starting all over again. I felt so exhausted during my last that most often than not she is taken cared of by other family members. She came in a time that she is the only baby in the family so she had many sitters, which i guess added to my being a little lazy taking care of her.It was also time that i had a full time job, so maybe that added to the stress. But i made sure that i had quality time with her, so we also had this mother daughter bond.
