How do you ask your partner about having a threesome?

If you're having fantasies about sharing your partner with someone else, in a threesome, how do you ask them about it? Most couples don't have conversations about this and if one gets the idea, how do you bring it up seriously with the other? Have you thought about doing this, or perhaps had to go through it and have some advice?

I really want to try a threesome myself but I have talked to my boyfriend about it. He said that if it were with another girl he would basically have to share me with her because he would have no desire to touch her at all. He went on to say that he is stingy and gets jealous so he wants to be the only one to play with me. I still really want it though because my two ex-boyfriends were really into us having a threesome. I think I'm gonna have to talk to my current boyfriend about it again at a later date.

Well I went through this once with my husband, I wanted it, or at least wanted to seriously think about it. I just asked him. I didn't make a big deal of it, nor special arrangements to pop the question, LOL. We were laying in bed and I asked him to give me his honest opinion on seriously having one. He asked me if I was really thinking about it and if I had anyone in mind, and the conversation went from there. In the end (about a week later), we both decided it wasn't for us after we both discussed the ups and downs of it.
