I have had a very bad experience with paypal. I lost some money as they forced me to upgrade my paypal account. so i clicked cancel and my payment got canceled. also how can they say that you need to upgrade your account to receive a few dollars in the account. it is not mentioned anywhere and also i mailed paypal and they also tell that there is no restriction to receive money. but they forced me to upgrade as i didn't have a credit card. did u have any such experience.

Hi, Maybe that is a scammed email. It is better to only go to the official Paypal website in order to be secured that you are really in Paypal because I have never heard of that upgrade thing. Paypal only asks users to be verified but they don't force you to if you don't want to. And they only charge like a dollar to your card but you get this back once you submitted the codes for verification to Paypal and Paypal will refund this to you in your next credit card bill. I hope you are not scammed, I had been scammed to but not with Paypal email spoofs or the like. Thanks, I hope this helps.

Are you sure that this was really an Email from PayPal and not a Spoof Email? If I were you, I would be contacting the real owners of PayPal and make sure your account has not been now hacked or something. I had my account somehow blocked for a while actually myself due to an error or something, but I was able to get it straightened out. As for account info, they do require a Bank account but I've never heard of them asking for CC info. Hope you can get this straightened out.

I have had a paypal account for close to 6 years now. I have never had a problem with them. In fact just the opposite!! Someone tried to do a charge-back on my account and paypal called me personally. I told them what the deal was and they took my side on it. You do need to verify your account by adding a bank account or cc with them. Be sure to look at the web site link when you go to paypal...it should have an S after the http (meaning secure link) so it would look like this: https://www.paypal etc etc
