Parents in our life

obviously we must respects our parents,because they have given birth to us. i personally respect my father a lot,but i don't respect my mother that much. I actually think that,,a person comes alone in this world,and he has to go alone. and he must not get that much attached to his family,because after all we all have to die,,So these relations are not for always.They are just parents of our body not soul.The journey of your soul,you have to do by your own. So i believe one must be more self oriented rather than just getting stuck in the family relations. but yes one must respect them for giving him birth. take care peace.

What do you mean by "very much passasive for my parents"? To me,parents are the people who aid me physically and emotionally,they can never be passive,or they never mean to be passive,i do not know what has happend between you and your parents,just hope you can get over it !

My parents are both deceased but I do believe that as a parent myself now, I feel that they deserve respect and we need their guidance. I am now a forty year old woman with a child of my own and I am trying to do my best for him. Our parents are supposed to be our role models and teach us values.
