Combodia Chocolates

Packaging that really looks good... but... - What a thick border!
One would never have expected it!

Well, my friend recently came back from a tour in Cambodia. Out of good will, he bought these two really prettily wrapped chocolates. Paying USD$6.50 per box, he thought two boxes would suffice for the whole team. So we were all admiring the box. Looks like one of those boxes from Guylian. And it being USD$6.50, you would think it contains the same amount too. Take a look at the pic. We were so surprised to find only 4 pieces of chocolates in each box. The border of the box is so thick! Giving the impression that the box of chocolate is really big! What a rip off!

Getting a variety of chocolates is common. In fact, when I was in Europe, I saw more chocolate varieties that my whole life time of eating chocolate add together! The tastes are also very varied. So many different grades of chocolate produces so many different kinds of pralines, bars, sticks, pastries... etc. The list is endless! But for this case, it is a matter of deception. We pay a high price for a big box of chocolate thinking that we bought a big box of chocolates. Only to find some cheapo chocolate and a thick border in the box to give the impression of plenty! Despicable is the only word I can think of.
