Choosing the Best Response

Three times my responses had been marked as best. Well, that was great and I feel honored to see my responses well attended. But what concerns me is those who chooses best responses immediately without even allowing the threads to grow. I think we should allow a day or two before making decisions of who will the best responder be.

YES, you are right. We should wait a day or two and see what others have to say.
But if the discussion is a question asking for help, and if the first answer solves his problem then its not so bad to give the best response right away.
We must not forget that we are allowed to respond evenif the BR is given.

Well, I'm not for the mark. I was just concerned a bit with threads having the first responders as the best posters. I was just trying to make a space for us to rethink.

well, you might just see the topics i have started and you will immediately understand the urgency in finding and marking a BEST RESPONSE. the response to some HOT topics that you start mostly is zero. AND, when someone really starts commenting, you will have been over joyed, and would go for the best of the comments. Not to bellitle your posts, but, I WOULD say.. after reading a topic continue.. I often find there are even better responses than my own posts which were selected as best.
In my point, it is just to motivate the started. Goodluck

Well, we can't make people to be interested in things that they are not. We can't blame others if our threads don't make responses. Though you're right in saying that sometimes we get too emotional that even if responses haven't even counted ten, we immediately place the best.

That's great! I hope you will earn more best responses. Usually I will mark the best responses for a week. At least I give enough time for people to respond it and that'll be fair that I mark the best responses later.

[b]yeahi how are you jaypee [/]b] i also agree with you i also choos a best response after about 2 days so that the discussions started gets response so thati can choose good response but not just to end my unfinished discussions some people only mark the best response when only abput 2 or 3 responses are received i think this is not right and other people should also get their chance
