i'm i really that bad?

I can think of no earthly reason why anyone should rate you negatively. You read a lot of stuff around here about trolls and the like. Personally I am pretty sceptical about them. I mean why bother? I left myLot once as a protest about the way that a friend was being attacked by another member. I was away just two weeks and my ranking dropped from 99/100 to 94/100 and my star went down from a blue 10 to a red 9. I also post some pretty trivial discussions. Although nothing that is ever intended to cause offence. I gave it all some thought and concluded that it doesn't really matter. So long as I can still post and my friends are here. Who really cares? I can appreciate the disappointment, and some people really get out of their pram about it. But personally, I just ride with the tide.

I am extremely new here at MyLot and am suddenly a bit disappointed. I honestly did not know about the rating "thing." I have yet to start a discussion - I have only replied. I must have missed something when I signed up. But...I also know I did not sign up for the stars (whatever they mean). I signed up to learn. I want to hear the "arguments" - the "discussions" - the "facts" - the "rants" and "raves" - from everyone about everything. I want to be challenged and learn from that challenge! Honestly, I have not read any of your discussions or responses (other than this one - obviously)...and frankly I do not need to - to know that you are entitled to your opinion - and have every right to let your voice be heard - and that you need to keep it up. So...I implore you...keep voicing your opinion. Most of us know "opinion" is just our personal view...based on our personal judgment. We really should treat each other better! Whatever happened to "treating people like you would want to be treated?" Good luck on the star thing. :-) (I guess there are times ignorance is bliss.)

No, it's not you at all. Just pretend the star isn't there. I have come to the conclusion that it's just there so people have something to start a new topic about. Don't let it discourage you and welcome to myLot!

it also always does not depend upon how good really you are. i had a star of 10. it dropped to 6 thanks to some trolls who rated me negative. so its not always your fault.

property they did it to me too, I was a ten and overnight someone minused me to a six, and I fought back and am now 'an eight, and eventually maybe I will get back my ten. Someone here hits negative just because they can evidently ' or they dont want anyone to have a star higher than their'own. they are not using the negative key the way my lot suggests, my lot says do not minus anyone just because they did not agree with you, everyone has the right to his or her opinion, as do you and everyone should respect each other. I hope you can get your star'back up. I always hit positive for everyone and if someone does put something in really insulting I do not negative i hit the exclamation point and let mylot take over. I just gave you'a postive and hope everyone will follow suit. good luck.

Hi property, I really do understand what you are saying because Thats what happened to me as well, my star went down fro 9 to seven and then back 8 here its stays I was so mad about but now I really don't care as I am quite enjoying myself just responding so worry too much just keep Mylotting. I don't let the star issue get me down. Whether it said 10, or 1, who cares? I am not going to let the opinions of others influence how I feel about myself, or what I do on here. People like or dislike my writing for various reasons, and those reasons are all their own, whether or not i agree with them.

I don't know why stars are added or decreased. I am happy to be here because it is a good place to practise english. I am excited when star added, it means my development. If it is decreased, i reckon that i am too busy to discuss here for several days.
