Have you listened to any Olympics songs?

I have listened to some Olympics songs but I am a little confused and wonder which one will be the theme song. Currently I like the song called Beijing Welcomes You. I am not sure whether it has an English version because foreigners may not understand it because it's in Chinese. Besides this song, I also like We Are Ready.

haha, i am glad you like the chinese song" beijing welcome you", cause i am from china. this song is played on buses, stores, tvs and everywhere.

For this foreigner it doesn't matter if it is in Mandarin or in English as long as it captures the heart of the games. If it is in Mandarin, all I ask is that NBC, the t.v. network that is airing the games,gives us subtitles.

Yes. I remember. All that means is we who don't speak Mandarin will need subtitles when you sing it Friday.Can you believe opening ceremonies will start Friday?

The songs I mentioned are Mandarin because it's the official language in China. Cantonese is only a dialect

I think it's 100% to be sure the Olympics will be open on August 8th at 8am. Namely it's on this Friday. I am so glad that I can watch it at home because this week I have a rest at home after the operation

Yes,i have listened many Olympic songs.but the favorite one is like you "Beijing welcomes you".I think that maybe it will be songed in the Olympic open ceremony or closure.It is fashionable in China.It is easy to come down.All my friends around me all can sing it whether they will sing orpheanly.It is warm.So many famous singers sing in this song.It lets me feel Chinese people hold together.We are strong.To be frank,the theme song is orphean,but hard to sing.We are ready is also good.

I like Beijing Welcomes You also.But there is another song named "yong bao ai de meng xiang" I like most,it is writed by chinese musician Tan Dun and David Foster who write the Olympics theme song in Atlanta.Maybe the English name can be translate to "embrace the dream of love".

You are lucky to be in the place where the olympics is held. I have not heard of the songs yet but hope to hear it on tv during the opening.

In fact I live in Guangzhou and it's not near Beijing. I think it's nearly 3 hours to fly to Beijing. So I just watch the Olympics at home.

Actually, I listen to a few Olympics songs and I am not sure if there is one "eral" one. I like We are Ready too but for the others, I keep hearing it over the tv and some of them I find annoying. Anyway, I hope there is one single theme song somehow so that we don't get confused.

I have not heard any of the songs as yet but I know that they tends to choose songs that are catchy. If the songs that you mentioned are catchy then it will be choose. So you are a Athletics fan I hope that this will be a world breaking event for us.
