Beyond Upset..

Ok, so I have been a part of one site for less than a week now and I have done very good. Also, this site is legit, therefore I am not gonna name it because I have nothing against the site--just upset over the issues. So, as of 4 am or so I was using it, I go to sleep, wake up about 8 something and I get a message when I go to the site about unauthorized use of a proxy. I just don't get it, I am using firefox, I am the only person in my house accessing this sites. I then was able to try to log-on to this site and it said my account was marked as a "cheater". Now, I can say--I am beyond upset about this, for several reasons! First of all I really did like this site, and yes--I have worked my fingers off this past weekend on the site, but I always follow the rules! I even double-checked the rules because I was going to refer my mom to the site, but wanted to check the rules on same household users. Well, I read that only one user per household. So I was like, fine--totally cool. So I didn't do that. I am a very honest person, and I am just going out of my mind after being marked as a cheater. I am guessing it has to do with my internet, I have satellite broadband and I have had issues with stuff in the past that supposedly had to do with a proxy. Although, nothing that got me banned--my other problem is, in a game I play online--when I buy something from an in game auction I always end up getting 2 of everything, so I contacted them and it says that my internet's proxy is sending out double request. Anyway, I sent an e-mail to the only e-mail I have for this site, but I'm thinking that it might not be an e-mail that will get seen, and I can't login so I can't submit a problem ticket. I just wanted to know, has anyone even had this happen? If so, were you able to get it fixed? I just mean from innocent people who didn't knowingly do anything wrong, since that is my situation. Because I do understand banning someone who knowingly violates rules or has multiple accounts. At this point I would give up all the more I worked so hard for if I could contact them am explain to them my problem, that is how much I liked the site! I am sad..

I'm not sure.. that's the frustrating thing. I am hoping they get my e-mail, I am not holding my breath, because I know that there are true cheaters out there and they ruin it for the honest people. But I would at least like the chance to assure them that I am not one of those people. I am thinking about just not doing any of that kind of site anymore if this doesn't get fixed, because I can't stand being labeled a cheater, when I am the exact opposite! I know a lot about using my computer and the internet, but I'm not that great when it comes to this proxy stuff, so I literally am clueless, I wouldn't even know how to cheat if I wanted to. The sad thing is, the true cheaters are the ones who probably get away with it, because they know how the internet works (programming-wise)!

it is, I am just so upset now.. if I had done something wrong I'd understand it, but I followed the rules, I just hate how systems are set up to stop cheaters.. and then the honest people suffer when the system somehow falsely detects someone who is not a cheater!

I am sorry to hear that.Hopefully you can get it straightened out.I wish sights would be more understanding of things like this.I understand that some people are cheaters but some are not.I would be upset to if they site banned me for that reason and I never did anything wrong .I would be upset as well since it is a legit site and you actually made money from them as that was part of your monthly earnings.I hope you can get it straightened out.

Yep, things are all straight now! I had e-mailed them to the e-mail that I was getting site alerts at, and to my surprise I had a reply when I got home tonight saying that things were fixed! I had a feeling it was an issue with my ISP, and she did say that a lot of people with my ISP (I have satellite broadband) have this issue--and she was able to fix it. Luckily I don't use my AOL to do offers, because she was saying that AOL users who do offers within the aol browser also have the problem, but that wasn't something she could fix, so that as long as I didn't use that I'd be ok.. good thing is, I use Firefox now, and have been since I joined the site on Friday, and before that--I used Internet Explorer on my old offers site. Now I am so paranoid that I WILL be closing my AOL browser out all the way before doing offers, I'm all about preventing any other issues, since she now knows about my ISP--she was able to do something about that, so I don't want to have more problems. Yea, the thing is.. I haven't gotten paid yet from them, but I have seen people here on mylot talk about it, and even saw proofs, so I am very confident. And I've been working very hard.. that's why I was so upset, because I made 22 dollars over the weekend and they were having a 50% special, so I now have 38 dollars because I made 11 dollars in bonus! So I was so worried that all my hard work was for nothing. Like you said, there are cheaters out there, and they should be stopped, but us honest, hard workers who spend hours surfing the sites should be safe, and I now know I am, I was able to sort it out and I'm now back on there. Thank you for your concerns, it means a lot that people here care, because as small as a issue it may seem, I was really hurt being placed in a category with "cheaters" for a few hours. Cheaters=Bad. Have a great night!
