Help with Auction Investigator for Ebay

Australia

I have been told about the new site www.auctioninvestigator.com that tells you how many ebay buyers are watching an auction that you are bidding on. I went to the site and dragged the link to my bookmarks and tried to use it per their directions but it says that the auction is invalid, which it is not. Does anyone else have any experience with this tool? Can anyone help me out? I would appreciate your help. Thanks! :)

This is the first I've heard of this one. As a seller, I can honestly say that the number of watchers doesn't really have much bearing on the number of bidders these days. It used to but now, most of the watchers are potential sellers with that item to offer. Serious bidders tend to not bookmark much. I've been really surprised to find as many as 15 people watching and only two lukewarm last minute biddres. On the other hand, I've had no watchers and 6 or 7 bidders have come out of the woodwork on the last day. (It's always on the last day anymore. I long for the good old days when there were a few new bids everytime I turned on the computer. That was fun.)

This tool is for buyers, not sellers. I would find it handy when i am buying and it comes down to the last few seconds, to know just how many people are watching the auction, whether they bid on it or not. As a seller you can see how many people are bidding on the item in your ebay summary, so obviously it's not made for sellers.

I never heard of this tool before. But, I have to say, from my experiences as a seller, that the number of watchers I have on auctions, does not correspond to the number of buyers that bid on my auctions. Many sellers have the exact same experience that I am discussing. In other words, the number of watchers does not equal the number of bidders on auctions. I think this tool may not be helpful to you as a buyer. Have a good day.

Like i said below, it's a tool for buyers, to see how many other bidders like them are watching the auction. Of course sellers already know who is watching as they can see it in their summaries.
