Do you remember horror films or books that make you scared enough to have trouble sleeping in few hours or days? horror scenes or parts that you wouldn't forget and keep remembering it for few days? I think it was on year 2002, my siblings and I decided to watch "The Ring" couple of days after Christmas. I usually don't watched horror films but in that time, I have a guts to watched it well, for one thing, I think that I wouldn't feel sacred when I watch it with my siblings as well as I told myself it was Christmas, silly of me to be afraid. At first, I wasn't scared at all, in fact, I mimicking Sadako/Samara to scare my brother and sister. I was so relief that I didn't feel scared even after I watched it. But then, when the night came, I am in my bedroom, I find myself really scared, and really don't want to look at the TV, thinking that maybe Samara will come out. Not to mention, there are scenes that I keep remembering that make me more scared. Well, I really didn't sleep at all that night and for a few days I didn't want to be alone in a room. What about you?Did you got the same experience that I had? What are the films or books that made you scared enough not to be alone in few hours or a few days? Please share your experiences and really would like to know it.

Oh my... this is the main reason why i do not like wathing horror films or tv shows... i end up being afraid for a long time... because i keep on imagining the scary scenes... i remember a few years ago... i used to watch the x-files... and i end up not being able to sleep the whole night because i was very scared...

Poltergeist. I saw it when I was in my teens and I slept with the lights on for 2 weeks! These days horror movies don't do that to me, but "The Ring" did come close.

hi kylie! i've watched The Ring before too. it was creepy but it never gave me sleepless nights. although a few years later, i had a dream about it which puzzled me a lot because i haven't been thinking of it for a long time. i dreamed of Sadako outside a window and she was reaching her hand to me, while i was lying on bed inside a room. it was supposed to be a nightmare but it turned out that i tried to fight it. i took her hand and tried to break it. ^__^;; anyway, i have watched a lot of horror movies and only a few have managed to make me scared when alone in my room at night. some of those movies are creepy Japanese horror movies. but i try not to think of what i watch. i do savor the moment of being scared though. oddly enough, i laugh when i get scared out of my wits. ^__^;; after that, i try not to think about it. i think about more horror movies to come.

Sadako is classic!!! I will always remember the scene she climbed out of the TV!! I hardly watch horror shows as I do not believe in scaring myself.

I really don't like watching horror films but my friends insisted to watch this flick Bangkok Haunted in theater way back in college days. I remember one scene where there is a dancer with long nails, I'm not really sure though if those are artificial nails only. I know it sounds stupid but those long nails haunt me for almost 2 weeks. I can't look at the mirror in our shower room because I always imagined those long nails there.

I am not a big fan of horror films but my wife is so we watch a lot of them. Our middle daughter hates them and is scared really easily so yes. my wife goes around imitating Sadako or goes around saying "Its Ch-ch-cheery time" form a nother horror film with a killer clown that has her terrified of even clowns. I guess I am just hardend to them now and they do not bother me. The only horror book that ever had my skin crawling was the Call of the Chtule (sp) by H.P. Lovecraft. He was a master of horror way before Stephen King.

Well one night I was reading Misery by Stephen King...and I got to this part that really kept me from going to sleep that night (of course I was reading it in bed, just before I had to sleep lol). I won't go into details, but if you've read the book you'll know what part I'm talking about; she had just killed the young cop that came to the house...and then she put her captive in the cellar... Also, my dog had an experience like this, I think :P But since she can't type it out, I'll do it for her. We were watching Cujo one night (yes my animals like to watch tv with us lol) and then we went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night, and my dog was just staring down at me; whining and shaking. When I acknowledged her she just dropped on me looking for a big hug! lol.
