i personally think that the novel is much better than the movie. in the movie,it didn't expalain why the title is a walk to remember.on the other hand, the novel stated it clearly and the movie is kinda different from the original novel..how about you?what do you think is better?

I think that the novel is always better than the movie. The film production team often add things that are different from the original novel. Students might read a text then see it acted and the two things might be totally different. I think that this is a shame and that the movie should be the same as the book.

i agree with you, they should not remove the important details in the novel and change some important matters.it should be the same as the novel or way better.

I am extremely sorry that I haven't seen the movie yet. I also haven't read the novel. Now, I hope I don't get a "-" for my this response but I sure will see it and read the novel also.

I advise you to do both. I think you should watch first then read the novel. In that way you can picture the characters already while reading the novel. And if you watch first the read later, like what i did, though not really soon afterwards. I liked the book and the movie but liked the novel better. In this way you won't critisize the movie for lacking what you had already read. Enjoy!

I loved the movie really much and just bought the novel, and plan to read it really soon. I see some people say it's really good; in that case i can't wait to read it myself !

Yeah, the movie really drove me crazy. but unfortunately, they can not include everything written in the novel because of a limited time frame. As a result some good parts of the movie were taken or changed. But luckily the movie writers did a good job, even if some parts are omitted, they made a great movie which made almost everyone crazy.

i find the movie more interesting than the novel coz there's a lot of romantic scenes unlike in the novel. the drama was more intense and the message of the story was delivered in a pleasing way.

I disagree with you. Have you read the novel? It has more good things and sweet moments as compared to the movie. But I really can't deny it that the Shane West really did a good job. The chemistry between him and Mandy Moore was really awesome and the movie really drove me crazy. But the for me the novel was better as compared to the movie.

hi arcenal, yes i also prefer novels than movies. reading a novel, our imagination is much more active than watching a movie. we can decide how harry potter looks, how cute hermione is, etc. (well, in that case, i am quite contented with emma watson's appearance). sometimes a movie doesn't perfectly present the world the novel told. but i also notice that some movies are better than the novels. at least, the movies add something. they are the godfather part one, mrs. doubtfire, forrest gump, harry potter series, and gone with the wind.

i like movie than novel... in movie you can see the detail of the story and the presentation is awesome... unlike novel that you keep reading it until your brains collapse...

I liked the novel way better. They usually have more details in them so i usually always perfer the book over the movie. I have also read the book before the movie to the notebook and message in a bottle. All of them were great. But its nice when you read a book to actually see it in motion film.

i really agree with you.it irritates me some time if i would watch a film and it's way too far from the book. for you?what is the best film that really followed the novel?

The movie is more touching than novel.
