i'm a sleepyhead. i easily fall asleep even if i'm travelling--in the car, bus, plane--whatever mode of transport. my head just rests on the seat and i already doze off a few seconds after. do you also doze off when you're travelling?

your not the only one. ill be in my car on the way somewhere and ill suddenly just pass out. No matter who is in the car, the odds of me falling asleep are pretty high. I pass out almost no matter what, even if im not tired. Unless of course my gf is in the car then thats a different story...=p

hahaha! of course, it'll be a different story when you have your special someone around. hope you're not driving though whenever you pass out. guess i just lack sleep or i just love to sleep. that's why i prefer to fly alone. i don't get to doze off when someone's talking to me on the plane and sometimes i don't like that.

not when i don't have anyone with me. no place is 100% safe nowadays, so while traveling, i am always on the lookout ^^.

you're right. you shouldn't sleep unless you're sure it's safe for you to do so. i always take that into consideration.:-)

I was a passenger in the front of a car in Australia. I had a soft pillow that a had against the window. I fell asleep but my pillow fell out of the window. My friend in the back called out to wake me up. We went back to get my pillow that was laying by the side of the road. I went back to sleep later that day and my next memory was arriving in the middle of the night in Cairns. I have spent some uncomfortable nights on overnight buses trying to get some sleep. I took the bus between Vilnius and Tallinn. I was with my toddler son on the double decker coach sitting on the front seat. We got some sleep and I woke up to hear announcements saying we had arrived in Riga. I wondered who would want to arrive there at 1am. I got a bit more sleep before 6am arrival. I have had some lovely and relaxing nights sleeping in comfortable compartments on trains. I find the noise trains make quite nice and the motion is gentle. I love to travel by train. It is my favorite form of transport. Even if I have to sit in a seat I sleep quite well. I was on a train going from Krakow to Prague and someone said that train was going to Vienna and we had to change trains in the middle of the night. This turned out to be true so it was a bothersome night.

Yes I do ,within minutes of setting off ,if not not yapping away to hubby to keep myself awake lol I feel my eyes closing, and once those lids start to drop well theres no stopping them, they are like lead!so in the end if its a fairly long journey well lol I miss out on half of it.

It is hard to sleep when you are traveling by car or bus. This is because of the road condition, bumpy ride, sudden application of brakes and so on. But you can sleep when you are traveling by train and by air.

i find it hard to doze off like that, so what i do is bring something along to do. i bring crocheting, x stitching or braiding with hemp along (something fairly small) and this way, i can still talk to the driver (or my seat mate) but am busy doing something.

I wish I could sleep during travel. I'm a light sleeper and ever since my first was born I wake up to the slightest noise, lol. I have to be really overly tired in order to be able to sleep even for a little bit while traveling. I envy you;)

The answer depends upon my mode of travel. If I am in the car or a bus I can never fall asleep. I don't know why but even though I try so hard to fall asleep and even if I have spent the whole night on duty, still I couldn't sleep. By plane, I can sleep. By boat, I can sleep, too.
