A military coup occurred in which Mauritantia's first democratically-elected president, Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdellahi, was deposed. It is also reported that Prime Minister Yahya Ould Ahmed Waghf has been arrested. President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdellahi's election is seen as a democratic model for the Arab world. Officially this is being reported as a bloodless coup. Do you think this coup was really as civilized as the reports are saying?
