This is one garden area for my cucumbers. In this patch I have 2 pickling cucumber plants and a straight 8 plant as well. In my back yards I also have 2 more pickling cuke plants. Anything I plant along side the house here grows so well. Next year I may turn it into a flower bed and move my cukes all in the back yard. Do you plant your vegetables in the same spot each year? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

hey grandpa bob i just had some sliced cucumbers in a salad today. how about that? you sure have a lot of cukes growing there. stupendous. my sister this year has planted her veggies in pots to keep animals at bay. because they would lose their produce each year to the wild critters longing for free home grown food. and she is winning the battle.

It is best if you do rotate what you palnt in a spot. hat way disease do not build up that might affect a certain species. You might find if you grow your cucumbers in the same spot every year that might start to fail. So rotate them to a different area next year and enjoy flowers in that spot.

My Grandpa, a farmer, taught me that soil needs rest sometimes and also variety. Planting the same thing in the same spot isn't good for it. It needs time to recover the minerals one type of plant uses by using it for another type. Rotating the crops, he called it. So I move things around, when I garden.
