I made a batch of homemade Chocolate Chip cookies this afternoon with lots of Nestle Toll House morels. It smells yummy in the house now. Have you baked any cookies yet this week? Were they homemade or the break and bake kind?

Not for awhile. I tried to cook my own oatmeal cookies and they came out fine. My sister make some snickerdoodles which seemed simple and probably more tasty than my oatmeal cookies. :) During holidays, I'll buy those sugar cookies and let my daughter bake them, but I don't go out and buy break and bake cookies often at all.

Maybe you should have your sister make some cookies with your daughter this holiday. I am sure she would love it.

It's been pretty hot here to think about any cookie baking. I think I might make some this weekend becasue I think the weather is going to be cooler. I'm going to maek the chocolate chip cookies from the deceptively delicious cookbook. You use chickpeas int the cookies so I think they will be healthy.

Chickpeas in cookies huh? I never would have thought about that.

My sister makes those chocolate chip cookies with the chick peas and her family loves them. I tried them and they were pretty good, couldn't tell much difference. She got the recipe from a book about getting your kids to eat foods with hidden nutrition in them. Seems to be working:)

I love homemade cookies...they're the only kind I eat. I haven't made any this week yet. Last week I made a batch of oatmeal chip. I'll probably make another batch this weekend. There's nothing like warm gooey cookies fresh out of the oven...yumm

Oh dear I wish I was your neighbour to taste your delicious cookies. You could save me time from doing my own.

I love to bake, it is the cleaning up after that I do not like so much. No cookies today, just toffee, buckeyes, and English Muffins.

i am a horrible cook and i dont like to bake but yes, every so often i like to experience the taste of homemade cookies, so i tend to buy the pillsbury dough boy refridgerated rolls and then all you do is slice and bake. it works for me! :-)

cookies baking is a wonderful smell. I haven't baked anything in a few weeks. The closest I come to those smells is when I light a scented candle. I know it's cheating! But it is better than nothing.

Yes, that would be cheating. Oatmeal Raisin are going in the oven in a little bit.

Haven't made cookies this week but last week I baked a cake three times. My daughter has an Easy Bake oven that she has had for like 4 years maybe. I made cake mix from the box we had in the pantry and gave some to her to put in her Easy Bake Oven and the rest I used to bake a regular sized cake. When I go food shopping next time I will pick up some cookie dough.

I admit this week I have not. The smell is wonderful though isn't it? I love cookies of any variety. Pictures of them? You could post those for us as well, if you like.

Cookies - Chocolate Chip cookies
Yes, the smell of fresh baked cookies is wonderful. I made more today and the house still smelled like them when I got back home.
