Salisbury Steak

My son loves Salisbury Steak. He is always wanting me to buy those Banquet meals with the Salisbury steak in them, but they seem like a waste of money. I have found MANY recipes online for Salisbury Steak, but I was wondering if there were any myLotters that had made it before that could give me a good recipe. Do you like Salisbury Steak? Have you ever tried making Salisbury Steak before? Got a recipe for Salisbury Steak you would like to share?

when both of my sons were little they didn't like meatloaf. i use to mix up a meat loaf & pat it out in patties. i would brown them on both sides , add some water & a pkg. of brown gravy mix & tell them they were salisbury steaks & they loved them. they were really surprised when they found out they were really just eating meatloaf in disguise. lol

Nope don't have a recipe. I have eaten it though. Had one of those Banquet meals your son wants. Not really all that appetizing. Doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to make though. At east no harder than meat loaf.

I tried a Salisbury Steak before, but it has been so long I don't remember much about it. I don't cook them myself. Looking at a few recipes, it looks essentially like a flattened meatloaf. Hrm.
