I have decided I will do this everyday, list the events through the years on the given day. Though not many people really look, I actually enjoy doing this, it's interesting to look at what has happened in the past. 1782- George Washington made the Order of the Purple Heart 1789- The war department was established by the Congress (US) 1888- Theophilus Van Kannel received a patent for the revolving door 1914- Germany invaded France 1942- US landed in Guadalcanal making their first big allied offensive in WWII 1959- The United States Launched "explorer 6" which sent back a picture of the earth 1960- The Cuban Catholic Church condemned the rise of communism in Cuba, then Fidel Castro banned religious TV and radio broadcast 1971- Apollo 15 returned to the Earth from the moon on a man mission 1974- Philippe Petit walked on a tight wire between the twin towers in New York 1976- Scientists announced that Viking 1 found indications of life on Mars 1990- George Bush Sr. sent troops to Saudi Arabia 2003- In California, Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his campaign for governor Well I hope you guys enjoyed, stay tuned for more

I think this is a good idea to do some research regularly. You have done a good job and a lot can be learned from all of this history. Thank you very much for the information.
