Dog's Meat

In some cultures, dishes using dog's meat are considered delicacies. I asked a friend why they do it and he said that it's good for the health. He further told me that it enhances stamina. But he said that the dogs are bred just for this purpose...for food just like cows, pigs and chicken. When I was younger one of our neighbors had a dog slaughtered and cooked. I was offered to have a taste but I couldn't bring myself to do it. But then again, my friend said that it's part of their culture. What do you think?

Hi diutay, I hate people who eat dogs, they are so cruel to do that, dogs are supposed to be pets, why don't they eat each other instead? what is wrong with people I don't understand, these people are pure evil. Tamara

I guess it's because of their culture. They don't look at dogs as pets. Thanks.

I could very easily contradict myself here,as ive answered your post about eating a meal that you didnt really like!and now im going to tell you that if I knew it was roast dog then I couldnt eat it!but im presuming you mean if we were in that country and living the way they live etc,im sure there are things that I would try and be happy to taste, but roast dog wouldnt be top of my list.

You bet. I've tried some very strange dishes but I've never eaten that before and never plan to do it.
