I was listening to my music the other day, and each song reminded me of the dance we use to do. The first time we had a party we were dancing to the twist. Before the twist everyone was rocking and rolling and to me that were the best times ever.Does anyone remember THE PONY, THE MASHPOTATOES. Going to a dance I waited for the boys to ask me to dance. The slow dances, where you could put your head on his shoulder. let's not forget the swing. Anyway, I rather have those dances back than that ones they have now. What about you?

Hi kaleegirl, how are you my friend? OMG I remember all those dances LOL. I agree with you it was a good time. I love dancing so I miss all this. What about the balls we had? Great times LOL. I never more hear about a ball can you believe that? Today we only have the clubs and it isn't the same. The youth today don't have the same fun we had. Cheers my dear kaleegirl.

hello teka, how are you doing? I'm doing just fine. trying to reach my 500 post before the weekend. We use to go to dance halls, but I remember them. I think that why i lost so thin, all the jumping around and the twist, omg, my waist would hurt after a while. I've asked my daughter what the name of the dance they are doing now, she don't know. have yourself a great day.

I wasn't alive when those dance were out, but I did inherit my moher's collection of 45 RPM records when she no longer had room for them. I love all o those old records. Not sure I know the dances, but I am married to an older guy who was around in that era, and could probably teach me. LOL

hhh the good old 50's music and dances. I loved the twist. I was actually the City of Dearborn Champion Twister in the mid 60's. So yes I'd say my fave was the twist. I saw Chubby Checker a few years back as well and loved his show. Ohh and the Watusi was another great dance. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Did you ever do the Strolle? I saw chubby Checker in Laughlin, He has a concert there, and it was me and this other lady who was having the most fun. The other people just sit there, no kind of reaction. the Watusi yes, I wish those days would come back. thanks for writing back.
