We in Oregon lost 8 firefighters in a heliocopter accident over
steep mountians yesterday. We don't know what happened but that doesn't matter, what matters is that we Americans don't just take this for granted. Everyday these men and women risk their lives for us and our loved ones. Forest fires are a
terrible threat and you can say well people shouldn't live where there are forest
fires but the same can be said that they shouldn't live where there hurricanes or
tornatoes or earthquakes the fact are that people do live there and mother earth
will do as she will do so the people who risk their lives to make us safe deserve a short prayer of thanks for what they do. Hope you will take a min. to do this. LOL

Well I am a firefighter and so is my husband. We both get up dates on fallen firfighters everyday. This week a year ago Texas lost two fire fighters. The fire departments name was noonday volunteer fire department. The fire fighters went in and the roof colapsed on them. One was the chief and another was a young fire fighter. We as fire fighters forget about everything when those tones and pagers go off. We try to get to the sceene and hope that no one is hurt. We have a prayer that we say and live by. If you would like I can put it here for others to read.
