Living a simple life

For me,simple life is characterised by well balanced,contented and spendthrift traits and bereft of all types of extravagance,wastages,criticaliity and excessive greed. A person leading a simple life has limited wants and desires; he/she remains satisfied with what he/she possess.However,a simple life abounds in higher human and moral values.

It is a great quote. People these days are way too busy trying to get bigger houses, faster cars, more money. When all we really need is a simple home to come back to at the end of each day, a car is not a necessity (although they are nice to have) and enough money to pay the bills and feed ourselves. I rent a small house, I have no car, I barely make ends meet each month but I am happier than I ever was before. This is simple living to me

i think it just means that money cannot buy you everything and some of life's simple pleasures are free (sitting by a lake), reading a book from the library, hanging out with friends, that sort of thing.

I like that quote.It makes one stop to think about life A simple life to me means. Living comfortably without grasping after all the unnecessary materalistic things in life and most important, living lovingly with your fellow men.

That's a good quote... as for simplicity, I don't know exactly what it is... I doubt there is a textbook definition of it. But for me, simplicity is living your life less materialistic. For instance.. not working hard at a job you hate, just so you can fill a house with things you don't need. It's hilarious, because people around here compete to see who has the best landscaped yards. And they just try to outdo each other.. it's absurd, because what better could be doing with that money? Simple would be paying your bills, having what you need... and being wise with everything you have. That's a tough question though!
