Didnt notice until just recently when I fell into the munchies and picked up a bag of Doritos that something was terribly wrong, the Doritos used to be gigantic and now they are obviously smaller--anyone noticed? I read that a lot of companies are doing this, not just Pepsi-Co (which does doritos too) but General Mills and other cereals putting less in the bag. I like granola and their boxes are already smaller, wonder what that means for them. And for all us gum chewers I heard even gum sizes are getting smaller, for Wrigleys who is generous you will only get 2 less sticks of gum.
But how many of you have noticed or this coming as news to you. I expected this when the talk of our falling economy but apparently companies are making it much more suddle than many of us expected and none are in a rush to tell the public their doing it. One you might want to know is Bounty (Proctor & Gamble), there giving you less paper towels but not changing the prices so you may not even notice, this is the tactic all the companies are using.
Tell me some products you've bought and found them smaller.
The ironic part is that sales profits from these name brands are on the rise for many of these companies.
