Strange cakes

There is someone on here from Nashville who specializes in making intereting cakes I can't remember her screennme now, but her avatar is an ouline of a heart. Are you two connected? She would probably find this one fascinating.

Cakes are wonderful things,buter cream icing and jam in the middle,but I would have a struggle to find anything remotely lovely about these cakes!In fact they are horrible!!lol what ever happened to the lovely Barbie cakes,the disney cartoon character cakes,even a pair of boobs cake is beter then those in the photograph!!

Pretty strange alright... I doubt I'll be able to eat the first one no matter how much I love cakes. Haha! The rats look all to real... But the rest are pretty creative. I've seen some other really interesting cakes. Makes me wonder how they even get to create stuff like that. I saw one cake that had three tiers and looked exactly like blocks of cheese. That's how realistic it looked. Saw one as well that was a mini version of frankenstein. It looked like a toy but was really a cake... Haha.. Thanks for sharing. I like this.

You're right, of course. They are interesting. You know, Alkurishy, that very few poeple would be willing to actually eat them! Can you just imagine the events for which each is appropriate? Is the first one for graduation parties for people who have just become surfeons? The eyeball would be good, I guess, for Halloween. Was there some sort of contest, finding out who could come up with the worst-looking cake? Maybe I'll propose that to the culinary classes at my school! Or maybe we could do a combined lesson -- culinary students could make outrageous cakes and creative writing students could write stories based on them. Then we ciuld sell slices and stories and have a huge party with the proceeds!

Oh boy, someone's going to have one heck of a Halloween party! How creative those are. Thanks for sharing those photos. Wish I was that talented to have thought those up and created them.

Wow! Unreal! I think that the person who made these cakes is very tallented.... I can see that they are very patient when making these cakes...But, I for One have NO desire to eat the cake that looks like a Arm and Rats! Gross! And my husband looked at it also, and he was like..... NO! LOL.... Your getting really good at putting several of the same pictures together! They all were done with awesome detail!

Those are some weird cakes. I can't imagine having one of them for a special occasion. They don't look very appetizing. They are very well done though. The one with the arm and the rats kinda turns my stomach. It is interesting the the imagination that ome people have. The artistry is very good though.

Yikes..that top one was a bit too realistic..the other ones are really cool though. The pictures remind me of the show Ace of Cakes on the Food Network. They make really amazing cakes that run the gamut of beautiful traditional designs to very strange...they've done sewer rats, armadillo, roller skates, musical instruments, books, cars...they're pretty incredible.

its there. i have seen simialr picturs earlier. there were those cakes in all different shapes. some were fun shapes also.

These cakes are neat! I read an article about cakes like these. You'd be amazed as to what people can do. I would love to learn how to decorate cake. Good Pics =]

Those pictures are very interesting my friend and I have never seen any cakes quite like those,I thank you for sharing them with us here on mylot,and I wonder if a cake looks strange does that mean it will also taste strange lol I hope not because I think strange tasting would make a lot of people sick on their stomachs and that is never good if you ask me.

these cakes are very strange and really fascinating. although one of them looks so yucky, according to one of my girl office mates here. but they will surely taste good and better than just of its looks. (neildc @ red/88/1494)

Hi, they sure look strange - I wonder what do they taste like? Looks so real - if no one tells me they are cakes, I'd most probably have a fright!

today i saw one in america's trashiest weedings it was a brown cake in the middle part of where you sit when using the toilet.

I like the looks of those cakes they were done up very nicely. I have seen some incredable cakes that have been made and decorated nicely. I only wish I had the talent to do that You could make a very good liveing off of doing this kind of thing. I know someone that does this and I always admir her work alot she does so spectacular work. But yes those cakes look awesome.

Those are some weird cakes. I would imagine that most of them are for around Halloween time. I really liked the one of the arm and the rats. It was really cute.
